AirtableBackup vs ProBackup

ProBackup is a multi-app backup service covering twenty-plus SaaS tools, Airtable among them. It takes one backup a day and prices on how much storage your backups use.

Facts about ProBackup were observed on ProBackup (Pro Backup BV, Belgium)’s own pages on 2026-10-06. Where something could not be verified, the row says so.

ProBackupAirtableBackup
Price basisStorage used plus a retention tier: Plus $25/mo billed yearly or $31 monthly (10 GB entry step, 6 months of history); Pro $38/$47 (2 years); Premium $69/$86 (unlimited). Storage steps up to 2,500 GB; the per-step prices render client-side and could not be read.$19 per base per month, flat. Attachments, backup frequency, history and restores are not metered.
Backup frequencyOnce every 24 hours, no scheduling.Every change as it happens (live updates), plus a full backup every night, at every speed setting
AttachmentsCounted against the storage quota; the vendor says files are typically 90–95% of it. Exclusion controls (drop files over 10 MB, drop files older than three months) were added in September 2026.Every file stored once by its content, however many records or versions reference it. Not metered.
Change historyDaily versions with a compare between two versions.Every change, with the name of the person, automation, form or integration that made it, and the before and after values.
Restore depthTables, records, comments, files and fields. A table restore creates a duplicate in the existing base; computed fields (formula, lookup, rollup, count, auto number, created/modified time, button, AI) are skipped. When a base is gone, the advice is to create a new base named ProBackupRestore and restore into it.One change, one field, one record, a table at any moment, or a whole base into a new base; every restore undoable. A rebuild into a new base recreates formula, lookup, rollup and count fields and re-links records.
Automations and scriptsThe help article for Airtable now lists "Automations"; the vendor's own comparison page says neither it nor On2Air backs up automations, views or forms.Unverified: the article was updated the week of 6 October 2026; what is captured (triggers, scripts, whether it can be restored) is not documented.Yes: configuration, script source, forms and interface page metadata, saved nightly, versioned on change
Restore proven automaticallyNot documented. An opt-in nightly restore test: 25 records of one table are restored into a test base and read back, every night.
